Galway City - Lisdonagh House is ideally located to explore the ancient City of Galway a 15 to 20 minute drive away. If your interest is music, theatre, history or shopping you will not be disappointed.

Aran Islands - It is possible to get a ferry from Galway City to the Islands daily (in season). The three islands, Inismaan, Inishmore and Inisteer are formed from a limestone ridge. The largest (Innishmore) is eight miles long and 2 miles wide.

Connemara - Lisdonagh is a terrific vantage point from which to explore Connemara National Park, "Kylemore Abbey" home to the Benedictine nuns and scenic Clifden.

Ashford Castle in Cong - The former home of the Guiness Family has beautiful gardens to visit. The picturesqe village village of Cong was the location for the "Quiet Man".
